Why is Responsible Gaming Important?

Online betting and casino gaming can be an exciting form of entertainment — but it is only enjoyable when you play within your limits. 989db believes that responsible gaming is the foundation of genuine entertainment.

Our goal is to create an environment where you can play safely. That is why the 989db platform provides effective tools and guidelines to help you make informed decisions and keep your gaming experience positive.

Gambling always carries risk. It should never be considered a source of income, but rather taken as entertainment. If you feel that your gaming habits are having a negative impact on your life, seek our support immediately.

Our Protection Tools

Deposit Limit

Decide for yourself how much money you deposit — on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Once a limit is set, it takes effect immediately. Increasing a limit takes 48 hours to apply, so you do not make decisions in the heat of the moment.

Time-Out Feature

If you want to take a break for a few days, use the time-out feature. You can take a break from 24 hours up to 6 weeks. During this time your account will be inactive and no betting will be possible.

Self-Exclusion

If you feel that betting is getting out of your control, use the self-exclusion option. You can close your account for 3 months, 6 months, or permanently. Once this decision takes effect, it cannot easily be reversed.

Loss Limit

Set a maximum loss amount for a specific period. Once the loss limit is reached, betting will stop automatically, protecting you from greater financial loss.

Reality Check

If you have been playing for a long time, 989db will automatically remind you. This reminder keeps you aware of how long you have been playing and how much you have spent, so you can take a break in time.

Minor Protection

989db strictly enforces the 21+ age limit. Age is verified at registration. If you have children or teenagers in your household, it is recommended to use parental control software on their devices.

Warning Signs of Problematic Gaming

If any of the signs below appear in you, seek help immediately. Having the courage to recognise the problem is the first step toward responsible gaming.

  • You feel the urge to bet more to recover money you have lost
  • You are hiding your gaming from family or friends
  • You are using money meant for daily expenses or debt repayment on betting
  • You want to stop playing but cannot, or you feel restless when you try
  • You are neglecting work, family, or social life to spend time gaming
  • You are falling into financial difficulty or going into debt because of betting
  • Your level of play is steadily increasing and you need larger bets for the same excitement

Core Principles of Responsible Gaming

The Right Mindset

  • See betting only as entertainment, not as a source of income
  • Only bet an amount you can afford to lose without it affecting your life
  • Set a budget before each session and stick to it
  • Avoid trying to chase losses after a losing session
  • Take regular breaks and give time to other hobbies and your family

Avoid

  • Do not bet under the influence of alcohol or other substances
  • Avoid betting when you are under stress or feeling depressed
  • Do not bet with credit or borrowed money
  • Do not use money meant for your family's basic needs on betting
  • Do not allow anyone under 21 to use a betting account

Questions and Answers about Responsible Gaming

You must be at least 21 years old to open an account and place bets at 989db. Age is verified at registration, and providing false information will result in account termination. Protecting minors is our highest priority.

Go to the "Responsible Gaming" or "Security" section in your account settings to set a deposit limit. You can choose a daily, weekly, or monthly limit. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately, while increasing a limit takes 48 hours to apply. Contact our live chat for any assistance.

Time-out is a temporary break — usually from 24 hours to a few weeks. It lifts automatically once the period ends. Self-exclusion is a longer-term solution — deactivating your account for 3 months, 6 months, or permanently. Once self-exclusion is activated, it cannot be lifted before the period ends. If you are facing a serious problem, self-exclusion is the right step.

Any existing balance in your account remains secure while self-exclusion is active. Contact our support team directly regarding withdrawals. Email us at [email protected] or discuss it via live chat.

Some common signs are: feeling the urge to bet more to recover lost money, hiding your betting from family, using money meant for basic needs on betting, feeling unable to stop playing, and not feeling at ease without logging into your account. If you notice any of these signs, contact us via live chat or at [email protected].
